Divine Feminine Energy: Is it all a load of Woo-Woo?

I made an Instagram video a while back where I referred to unobjective means of measurement as ‘feminine’. I’ve been pondering this concept for a long time now. You might have heard these words floated about the interwebs by now: masculine and feminine energy is everywhere in the spiritual space and is making its way into the wellness space too.
Coming from an evidence based background I found this concept difficult to reconcile. I knew it wasn’t specifically pertaining to man vs woman; I knew it was pertaining to the energies within each person. Each person has feminine and masculine energy, but I found this difficult to actually intellectualise. There is no journal article that ‘proves’ masculine and feminine energy is ‘real’ — as in objectively real: something we can measure and quantify; a reality that is outside of the mind.
The concept of masculine and feminine energy has been referenced within philosophy, religion and psychology for millenia; Taoists refer to the dark moon feminine yin and bright sun masculine yang; Hindus refer to feminine matter (Prakṛti) and the masculine spirit (Purusha) and psychoanalyst Carl Jung described the feminine anima as compassionate and receptive and the masculine animus as rational and objective.
Although you can read as many books as you like, I found that the only way to truly understand this concept was to sit and contemplate it. This is what I discovered:
